In 2014 with the opening of the new Eco-Refugi, Abella Climb decided to use the space as a platform to promote the work of local artists and craftspeople. The refugi is an ideal location due to its size, possibility for internal and external exhibitions and the number of people who pass through the refugi from all over the world. Presenting local artists work on the walls of the refugi and in the gardens not only creates a unique atmosphere for visiting guests but also provides a free ‘gallery’ opportunity for the artists.
We are currently displaying the work of Manuel Gayete a sculptor (who also handmade all of the windows in the refugi) and A’ntiko a painter.
We are always happy to hear from local artists and craftspeople who may be interested in displaying their work at the Eco-Refugi. Contact us at abellaclimb@gmail.com
